Our History
The History of TIMCO Property Development & Investments, Inc. began in the early 80’s with George Franklin, a dedicated family man with extraordinary business sense. George Franklin was an ordained Minister, and the Father of TIMCO Founder and CEO, Timothy Franklin. As a great Businessman, dedicated Family Man, Church Leader, and Church Founder, Pastor Franklin relocated his family from Southern Alabama, to the West Side of Chicago, then on to the Southern Suburbs of Chicago, in search of a better way of life for his children. After relocating, Pastor Franklin was forced into Construction as his only option to adequately oversee his Ministry and stay close to his Family. Pastor Franklin, the great Businessman that he was, became General Contractor of his own construction project where his home and church were constructed side by side. Tim Franklin literally followed in the footsteps of his father, as a child, on the construction site that he also called home.
Stemming from his ability to lead by example, and the great success of his construction project, Pastor George Franklin’s 12 children, inevitably began to develop great business minds of their own. Several of whom have gone on to become very successful Business Owners.
As Founder and CEO of TIMCO Property Development & Investments, Inc., Timothy J. Franklin has continued to increase the business knowledge he gained from his father. His education to date includes Building Design, Auto Cad, Construction Management, and Business Management, mingled with a history of Sales and Marketing. Tim Franklin also served on the Board of N2K Stock Shareholders as Vice President under Invest Trade.
Today, Tim Franklin continues to follows the example his Father set over 20 years ago by building great business minds and a better way of life for Families through TIMCO Property Development and Investment Programs.
Even the name “TIMCO” is all about family, as “TIM is short for Timothy, and “CO” is short for his wife Courtney.
